Learn More About Reilly's Auto Body

Have an auto repair-related question? We have the answer! Check out our FAQs below to learn more about our company and services.

  • Is my car 'driveable'?

Perhaps you should be asking, "Is my car SAFE to drive?" If you have a bumper hanging, a door that won’t close, or a headlight or taillamp cracked, the answer is NO. If you’re unsure of the answer, DO NOT DRIVE. Call us for auto body repair and we will have your car towed.

  • Do I have to pay for towing?

If you have collision coverage on your car, the simple answer is NO. Most people think that a towing expense is out of pocket, but that is not the case. If you need collision repair and towing, please call us and we can help.

  • Can I select which shop performs repairs to my vehicle?

Absolutely! It is NYS law that you, the consumer, have the right to choose. Even if you have an estimate written at another shop or done through a photo inspection, we can handle the collision repairs and any additional work needed with the insurance companies.

  • Will you use aftermarket parts or OEM parts to repair my vehicle?

The decision on which parts to use to repair your vehicle typically starts with your insurance carrier. If your insurance carrier asks us to utilize an aftermarket or used part to repair your vehicle, we will attempt to utilize the parts they request. The parts we use for the auto body repair also depend on our Quality Process. If the part your insurance carrier asks us to use does not meet our quality standard, we will indicate what we do not like and have the insurance carrier pay us to use the correct part to repair your vehicle.

  • Can you fix other, unrelated damage while my vehicle is there?

We will be happy to provide an estimate to repair any other damage. Please let us know about any unrelated damage when you are dropping your vehicle off for auto body repair. Oftentimes, it is the least expensive time to complete additional repairs, as the insurance repair may overlap with what you need to have done. We can also offer full service mechanical repairs while your vehicle is here.

  • How long is the warranty on the collision repairs and the paint job?

We warranty all of our car painting and repair workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle. The parts’ warranty will vary based on the manufacturer of the part.

  • How does the payment process work if a third party is paying for my collision repairs?

If you would like to have a private party pay for your collision repairs, we will accept cash or a certified check from a local bank.

  • Do you have rental cars available while my vehicle is being repaired?

We can arrange for you to have a rental vehicle during your auto body repair service. Oftentimes, we can assist in the direct billing to the insurance carrier.
